However, being a child was my joy to draw, paint, and put together clever, exciting, beautiful things. So, from second grade, I went after school to a painting class where I was painting, drawing and learning how to express myself artistically.

I had the satisfaction of looking at new products and lecturing western magazines, rare in communist Romania, where I was born and lived the first twenty-something years of my life. I felt deep in my soul that new car designs, new industrial products, and new well-crafted and printed magazines found an echo that enabled the dream to be a designer, to be someday a person to design and create experiences like that.

I’m a designer because I choose to be one.

That higher presence set my path, and I enjoyed it so much that I followed my instincts. I picked a high school where the specialization was hand sculpting in wood and beautiful artistic elements for furniture. Here I learned about how furniture evolved over the centuries in different styles, from Egyptian, Greek, Medieval, Renaissance, Rococo, Art Nouveau, Bauhaus, Art Deco, and Bohemian to Organic and Minimalis.

Going to college, I needed to learn how to follow my dreams. So it was a turning point when a colleague from my class said he was going to University to be a designer. That spark lit up my dream, and I saw my path; I realized I wanted to be one.

Over the following summer, I prepared a portfolio and presented myself for the exam. But unfortunately, I didn’t get the grade to be accepted into University. So the following year, I spent all my remaining time after college in a School of Art taught by a teacher how to take the exam. Finally, in the fall, I presented myself to the exam, and I did get in. I got admission in second place from a class of eight at West University of Timisoara, Faculty of Art, specializing in Design.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2924″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][vc_column_text]

I’m a designer because I was proven to be one.

The next five years spent in University put me face to face with a new creative world that I lived at the max every day. I learned about Design, fonts, colours, and composition and painted and moulded shapes from clay. As a result, I meet excellent teachers and colleagues, and I meet the History of Art with all the incredible artists and their creations. In my third year, I started working at a local printing company, where I learned the value of font and typography. There was the first place where I applied my learning from school and learned how to work with real clients.

After finishing university with one of my colleagues, we opened a design business. Vision Design was my first personal creative adventure; from that posture, we helped companies from the west side of Romania with their creative needs.

After two good years working with Vision Design, I moved to Canada in October 2022. Here, I started working for M3 Worldsites Marketing Inc., a creative agency in the KW area. These years were moving fast because I liked my work. I started in Graphic Design and grew with the Internet, moving from Visual to Digital Design, responsive websites, and various digital experiences.

In the main time, I was doing freelance with iTrend Design and lately with Designatio Studio working with local agencies from Guelph to Hamilton and Oakville area, helping them with extra load and serving on a contract basis for different clients.

After 2o years of this incredible journey, I’m even more excited every day about the opportunities and challenges that Design will set in front of me to solve and make users’ experiences more natural, pain-free, and successful human experiences.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”row_padding_top row_padding_bottom has-animation”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”50px”]
Intentional experience expressing creativity at the highest levels
[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″]
Behind the Name
[vc_column_text]Canadian Designer Daniel Negru – the creative force.

A dynamic, direct, open and sincere personality can conceptualize messages and feelings and motivate actions.
